Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to provide executive support in the planning and execution of the daily operations of the Deputy Commander (DCOM), Pacific Air Forces, including general analysis and staff advisory services and communicating Deputy Commander's vision, philosophy, and intent.

Specialized Experience- At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS‑11, or equivalent in other pay systems.
- Experience applying thorough knowledge of staff operations management concepts, principles, and methodologies.
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs, with knowledge of mission, organization, and work processes of programs throughout a military command, complex multi‑mission local installation, or equivalent.
- Experience with the knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating planning actions as they relate to actual events.
Skills and Abilities
(KSAs)
- Knowledge of staff operations management concepts, principles, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of military command mission, objectives, and procedures, including command entities involved in overall planning and execution of manpower, personnel, and services operations.
- Knowledge of military command structure, programs and organizational relationships, program goals and objectives, sequence and timing of operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating and planning actions related to actual events.
- Basic analytical ability to discern short, medium, and long‑term effects of changes in staff operations practices, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with tact and diplomacy, to handle all contacts appropriately.
- Ability to negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships.
- Part‑time or unpaid experience:
Credit will be considered for appropriate unpaid or part‑time work. Duties, responsibilities, and hours per week must be clearly identified. - Volunteer work experience:
Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service Programs or other organizations, is eligible for credit if it builds critical competencies.
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short‑notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public.
