Job Summary
Local route Truck Drivers (CDL A or
B) are responsible for loading galley equipment onto a truck, driving the truck to various types of aircraft, and unloading the equipment. Local CDL Truck Drivers usually drive on local public roads, outside of the airport and terminal.
- Load equipment onto the truck.
- Drive the truck to the aircraft at the local airport.
- Load galleys according to customer guidelines.
- Unload dirty equipment, and place dirty equipment and trash in designated areas.
- Accomplish all tasks according to customer guidelines, while adhering to safety and sanitation regulations.
- Interact with airline representatives at the aircraft.
- Follow directions and work as a member of the Transportation team.
- Perform additional duties as deemed necessary by management.
- Current U.S. driver’s license, CDL Class A or
B. - Some locations may require a Customs seal from local airport authority.
- Ability to read and write to complete required forms.
- Effective communication with supervisors and coworkers.
- Work assigned schedule, including possibility of weekends and holidays.
- Work overtime when required.
- Arrive to work on time.
- Comply with company policies.
- Complete paperwork and related administrative duties.
- Must be 21 years of age.
Local CDL Truck Drivers will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise. Majority of duties are performed outside in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds frequently during shift. Regularly stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours. Must be able to work at heights up to 25 feet or more depending on aircraft.
