June 2027-August 2027
Our summer internship offers you real-world experience in engineering, planning, watershed protection, hydraulic modeling, data analysis, water conservation and more! Your unforgettable summer experience at the BWS will include:
- Exploring Oahu’s microclimates and aquifer systems to learn about responsible watershed, groundwater and environmental management
- Gaining hands‑on field work experience involving fire hydrant pressure testing, well source investigations, water quality testing, treatment facility tours, GIS and more
- Individual and team‑focused opportunities with fellow cohort members, and exploring your unique interest in water resources with a self‑directed capstone project.
- Successful completion of at least one year of post‑secondary education which leads to an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post‑secondary educational institution on at least a half‑time basis, or intent to register in the next regular semester.
- Must provide a copy of your transcript (may be submitted at the end of the current academic year)
- At least 2.0 overall scholastic average on a 4.0 scale
- College major (including but not limited to): engineering (all), hydrogeology, planning, information or computer technology, mathematics, GIS
