The Auditor V position with the Department of Taxation supervises and participates in field audits of governmental books, business entities, and regulated utilities. The role involves leading audit teams, analyzing complex financial transactions, and preparing audit reports. This is a Level V position located on the Island of Oahu.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university with at least 12 semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing
- Four years of progressively responsible professional auditing experience
- Thorough working knowledge of State and Federal tax laws including General Excise, Use, Net Income, and Public Service tax laws
- One year of professional work experience involving application or interpretation of State and federal tax laws
- Valid driver's license at time of appointment
- Supervisory aptitude or experience
