About the Role and Compensation

Job OverviewAs a Mid‑Level Automotive Technician at Goodyear, you will use mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues, perform line technician services—including routine inspections, maintenance, and system diagnostics—and deliver outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation.
- Diagnose vehicles and perform road tests.
- Document all work performed on the repair order.
- Report safety issues immediately to management.
- Promote teamwork to deliver accurate guest care during all operating hours.
- Adhere to Company policy on vehicle care and operation.
- Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior automotive technicians.
- Maintain clear communication and feedback with guests about their vehicle service.
Store hours may include weekends and some holidays; shift schedules vary by location.
Minimum Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of automotive experience, including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
- Valid driver's license and at least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- ASE certification.
- Experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests.
- Experience with electrical, air conditioning, and primary/advanced fuel ignition systems.
- Commitment to learning new technologies in the rapidly changing automotive industry.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Commitment to following safety policies and procedures.
