Overview

Aid Kit is revolutionizing how aid reaches those who need it most. We're on a mission to empower nonprofits and governments to deliver aid with unprecedented efficiency. We are seeking bilingual English/Ilocano Review & Support Specialists to join our remote dynamic team on a fixed-term, W2 position for a new Kamaʻāina Credit for ALICE Households program through Maui United Way. This position is hybrid in Maui County, Hawaii, with most work performed remotely but requested availability for occasional in-person outreach and other events as needed.

About

Aid Kit

Aid Kit’s cutting-edge technology transforms complex cash assistance programs into streamlined, secure, and dignified experiences. By seamlessly connecting applicants to vital resources, we're making aid radically accessible for diverse populations—including unhoused and unbanked individuals. From simplifying benefits modernization projects for state agencies to standing up efficient disaster relief programs, Aid Kit helps its partners deliver aid with dignity.

We were our own first customer—Aid Kit started as a nonprofit initiative born from the need to support systematically excluded workers during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, Aid Kit provides the technology backbone for some of the nation's most innovative public safety net programs, having distributed hundreds of millions of dollars to people in need.

As we continue to grow rapidly, the opportunity for impact is immense. Apply to join our team if you're seeking meaningful, flexible, and impactful work.

About the Role

The Review & Support Specialist (RSS) will use Aid Kit’s platform to provide remote support for the Kamaʻāina Credit for ALICE Households, a program led by Maui United Way serving Maui County, Hawaii. This is a 12‑month guaranteed‑income program that provides monthly cash payments to approximately 910 eligible households in Maui County that are Asset Limited Income Employed (ALICE). The role may also require attending occasional in‑person events such as outreach or meetings with the County or Community Based Organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to applicant support tickets via phone, email, and text using Aid Kit's custom tools, ensuring accurate, friendly, and timely responses.
  • Leverage Aid Kit’s custom platform to conduct thorough application reviews carefully and quickly, validating correct documents, flagging where corrected documentation is needed or potential fraud to ensure compliance with program and documentation requirements.
  • Participate in program‑specific training sessions and RSS team meetings.
  • Collaborate with other RSS and Managers to identify common applicant issues, reduce fraud, and improve Aid Kit’s overall recipient support process.
  • Troubleshoot applicant issues during the application and payment processes to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform additional applicant support & review tasks as needed based on program demands.
