Responsibilities
We are seeking a versatile and student‑centered Special Education Teacher to support the academic and social‑emotional growth of our Wave Riders. This position provides high‑quality specialized instruction and ensures the successful implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) within both general education (Inclusion) and resource settings.
Qualifications- Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
- Special education classroom experience in a K‑12 school setting.
- Experience planning and facilitating IEP meetings.
- Ability to exercise independent and professional judgment in carrying out daily functions.
- Ability to maintain an effective work pace under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and apply them effectively.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Upon hire, must have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit.
