Engineer V - Department of Accounting & General Services - Maui

Responsibilities

The Engineer V supervises the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of major and complex engineering projects, or works independently on advanced planning, design, or research projects of a highly critical or unprecedented nature. This position is located on the Island of Maui within the Department of Accounting and General Services, in either the Repair and Maintenance Branch or Construction Management Branch.

The role requires extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, with responsibility for reviewing work prepared by other professional engineers and providing technical guidance on specialized projects.

• Valid State of Hawaii Professional Engineer license required at time of application
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university school of engineering
• Four years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience, with at least one year comparable to the next lower level
• Demonstrated supervisory aptitude
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on specific position
