Security Officer, Kahalu'u Makai; Temporary

Position: Security Officer, Kahalu'u Makai (Temporary)

* High School Diploma/Equivalent
* Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
* Valid Hawaii Driver's license and current driving abstract.
* Current DCCA Guard Employee License or ability to obtain certification within 60 days from date of hire.
* Current standard First Aid, CPR and AED certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months from date of hire.
* Ability to work independently and flexibility to accommodate a rotational schedule, including 24/7 availability.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good interpersonal skills, allowing effective interaction with KS staff, students, parents, and the public.
* Proficient in computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and email, and able to learn, operate, and monitor CCTV systems for recording and review purposes.
* Competence in typing and computer use for detailed incident reporting.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a security, police, or emergency response role. Security experience within a K-12 school environment. Knowledge of security-related software and applications customarily used in the field.
* Frequently writes by hand, stands, walks and lift/and/carry, push and/or pull objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
* Occasionally sits, performs desk-based computer tasks and requires ability to grasp using light or fine manipulation
* Frequently twists, bends, stoops, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach or work above shoulder, or grasp firmly.
