Public Area Attendant, Full Time

Rate of Pay: $20.48/hour

Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Public Area Housekeeper to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.

Responsible for the cleaning of Hotel public and common areas.

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Clean Hotel public areas such as restrooms, offices, corridors and lobby.
• Sweep, dust, mop and remove debris from floors. Empty rubbish.
• May do carpet cleaning.
• Deliver items requested by guests.
• Perform general or specialized cleaning and other miscellaneous unskilled tasks.
• Move heavy furniture or equipment when needed.
• Report any missing/found articles, or damage to the Housekeeping supervisors.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar or related position preferred.

Basic cleaning skills. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding desirable. Dependable.
