Beach and Pool Attendant, Full Time. Rate of Pay: $20.91/hour. Opportunity to join a team that strives to create a memorable guest experience and to share the aloha spirit at King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott.
Brief Summary of Job
:
Responsible for assisting in the operation, maintenance and safety of the hotel’s pool area while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner by following Marriott standards of hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, providing personalized service to hotel guests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Accommodate guests by making them feel welcome, informed, and cared for during the entire length of their stay.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area and pool deck.
- Stock pool towels by coordinating with laundry and providing towels to registered guests.
- Monitor pool activity and enforce pool rules; identify safety and security hazards.
- Assist guests with cabanas and daybeds, including setup, breakdown, and rental assignments; ensure cabanas/daybeds are cleaned and reset per standards.
- Take, record and confirm cabana/daybed requests and cancellations as specified in departmental standards.
- Provide guests with information and materials as required; monitor and collect liability waivers; ensure rented equipment is returned.
- Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and stay up to date with changes, new procedures and events.
- Support other team members and departments to contribute to the department and hotel’s overall performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements Knowledge/Education/ExperienceOne (1) year beach and pool attendant experience preferred. High school or equivalent education required.
Skills/Abilities/Other RequirementsEnglish speaking or bilingual. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
