Production Manager
Job Summary
This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Director of Production and is responsible for supervising the spirulina, ax, extraction, and tableting process activities during a shift. The supervisor ensures that these processes are completed using current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) for Food and Dietary Supplements, the Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA), and State Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
Pay Range: $25‑28 per hour

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the production systems of dewatering, drying technologies, and extraction.
- Oversee powder handling and tablet production.
- Perform inspections and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulation authorities and company protocols.
- Ensure that daily production goals and efficiencies are met.
- Train workers on an ongoing basis and document all training processes and procedures properly.
- Ensures all accidents are investigated and documented appropriately.
- Coach employees on Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Responsible for personnel activities, including timely performance appraisals, timekeeping, and timely disciplinary actions.

May be required to sit or stand for extended periods and may need to lift up to 60 pounds on occasion. Must be able to walk between buildings and on uneven ground. Physical demands include lifting, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, climbing ladders, and driving a forklift and tractor.
Working ConditionsThe majority of work is performed in a humid processing area and outside in a sunny, warm climate.
Qualifications- High school diploma (GED), Associate degree, and/or a combination of relatable education and work experience
- Prefer experience with GMP, and HACCP compliance in a related industry.
- Working proficiency with PC-based computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in math and analytical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills, as well as attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates leadership ability.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
