We are seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner specialized in family or adult-gerontology medicine to deliver patient-centered urgent care services at our locations in Kailua, Pearl City, and Kapolei.

As a per diem Nurse Practitioner, you will independently evaluate and manage patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your responsibilities will include providing expert clinical care through comprehensive or problem-focused health assessments, evaluating and treating a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries, performing minor procedures (such as suturing, abscess drainage, and splinting), writing prescriptions, formulating treatment plans, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs and X-rays).

Our clinic operates 7 days a week, with a standard schedule of 7 AM to 8 PM, on a rotating basis.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an accredited graduate-level program that results in a master's degree in clinical nursing or a relevant specialty field. Hold a current Hawaii Registered Nurse License and a current Hawaii Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License with prescriptive authority that meets Hawaii state education requirements. A current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card is also required.

You must possess the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and be available to work weekends and float to all Adventist Health Castle Urgent Care Clinic locations. Additionally, a Department of Transportation Medical Examiner (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). is required within 90 days of starting, with reimbursement provided for the cost and time to train. Candidates should hold a Hawaii medical license or be eligible, and meet the hospital’s medical staff credentialing standards.

Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of NP experience in emergent or outpatient primary care settings. Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC), or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (A-GNP) is highly desired.

Base compensation is $80.00 per hour.
