Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including assessments and monitoring.
Utilize Epic system for documentation, orders, and charting with high accuracy.
Administer medications and therapies per physician orders and protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans.
Monitor patient vitals and clinical status, escalating changes promptly.
Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based projects.
Demonstrate accountability for personal performance and meet established targets.
Mentor less-experienced staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
Engage in performance metrics tracking, pipelines, and territory-like efficiency within unit.
Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge needs.
Maintain on-site presence and visibility through consistent shift coverage and timely communication.
Experience/QualificationsCurrent RN license valid in Hawaii with ICU or critical care certification.
Proficient use of Epic for documentation, orders, and charting with high accuracy.
Evidence-based ICU nursing with rapid assessment and escalation of deteriorating patients.
Experience in medication administration, IV therapy, and protocol-driven care.
Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
Infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance adherence.
Participation in quality improvement projects and unit-based performance metrics.
Mentor and coach junior staff; contribute to continuous learning culture.
Patient and family education on care plans and post-discharge needs.
On-site presence with reliable shift coverage and timely communication.
