Position SummaryHi Health Care is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a pediatric client in the comfort of their home in Keaʻau. This position offers a consistent schedule of 1-2 twelve-hour shifts per week and is ideal for nurses who enjoy building meaningful relationships while providing high-quality, individualized care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the patient's individualized plan of care
- Monitor, assess, and document the patient's condition during each shift
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the physician
- Perform skilled nursing procedures, including care of medical equipment as needed
- Respond appropriately to changes in the patient's condition and communicate concerns to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with family members, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Educate family caregivers regarding health maintenance, treatments, and safety measures
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and safety standards
- Current and unrestricted RN license in the State of Hawaii
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience required
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Experience with tracheostomy, ventilator, and/or G-tube care is a plus
- Current CPR certification (BLS)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
