Environmental Sampling Assistant

Duration: 02 - 06 Months

We are seeking an Environmental Sampling Assistant to support field and laboratory environmental monitoring activities. This role involves collecting water samples from marine, groundwater, pond, discharge, and coastal locations.

• Collect environmental water samples and perform field measurements.
• Record sampling data and maintain accurate Excel/database records.
• Assist with laboratory testing, including turbidity, suspended solids, BOD, and chlorophyll analysis.
• Calibrate and verify field and laboratory instruments.
• Prepare samples, bottles, and laboratory materials.
• Perform routine laboratory maintenance, including cleaning glassware and organizing supplies.
• Follow established sampling, laboratory, safety, and quality procedures.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and on uneven terrain; occasional small-boat sampling may be required.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Marine Science, Natural Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of field sampling and basic laboratory procedures preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong data recording skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
