As a Airport Security Officer in Kailua-Kona, HI
, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

• Thu 12:30 PM - 09:00 PM

• Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, credentials, and/or authorized entry lists, and directing individuals to appropriate airport resources when access is not authorized.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and/or public agency partners as directed by post orders.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, document observations and incidents accurately, and communicate notable activity to supervision and/or appropriate contacts.

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
