As a Airport Security Officer in Kailua-Kona, HI

Type and Pay
Position Type: Full Time - Afternoon
Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

- Valid Driver's License
- 21+ years of age
- Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

- Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter zones to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, monitoring entry points, and directing individuals to proper screening and/or check-in locations per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from site authorities and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete required reports and logs, documenting incidents, patrol activities, and observations, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
