Job DescriptionAs a Law Enforcement Officer, Armed Patrol in Kailua Kona, HI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications (NO EXCEPTIONS):
- 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
- Experience in de-escalation, incident report writing, patrolling in high traffic areas, and communication skills.
- Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program (must provide credentials upon applying)
- Valid Driver's License
- 22+ years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Basic Qualifications:
The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role.
- No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C.
* 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931
F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions.
Knowledge and Skills Required- Must be able to supervise Contractor's personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
- Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions, under stressful conditions.
- Maturity in conduct behavior and attitude.
- Ability to take orders, follow instructions, accept and assume responsibility for one's actions.
- Alertness, attentiveness, and professional conduct. Ability to recognize, respond and take appropriate and corrective actions to various situations.
- Strong moral character. Must possess high standards and be truthful.
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing in English.
- Courtesy in inter-person relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
- LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding.
