FACILITIES TECHNICIAN III
The Facilities Technician 3rd Class Position will be required to perform, but not limited to, wood refinishing, painting, and repairs to plumbing, HVACR, mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment through a work order system and/or by management request.
Job Responsibilities and Standards:
- Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks on building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe environment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities as directed by senior technicians.
- Respond to basic repair requests and complete assigned work orders.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to learn troubleshooting techniques and develop technical skills.
- Understand and maintain the club's customer service standards.
- Present yourself in a professional manner, including appearance, identification, and general communication.
- Maintain a positive attitude, cooperation, and teamwork; listen effectively, respond to guests’ requests in a friendly can-do manner.
- Adhere to the established work-hour schedule; call a manager 30 minutes before shift starts to avoid an improper call-in.
- Arrive at work on time and work until authorized to leave.
- Attend all mandatory education/in-service programs and demonstrate understanding of responsibilities.
- Utilize effective communication skills in all interactions.
- Work a flexible schedule and extra hours when needed.
- Demonstrate adherence to the club's safe practice procedures and make recommendations to improve safety; report any unsafe work practices to supervisor.
- Consistently use proper body mechanics to avoid injury.
- Follow reporting procedures when injured and be aware of material safety data sheets.
- Assist with any special project as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of facilities maintenance preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools required.
- Open availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and ability to work without direct supervision.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a facilities environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
