The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, Homestead Services Division has ONE (1) urgent vacancy.
Operates two or more types of motorized equipment such as heavy trucks, heavy rollers, loaders, light tractors, graders, and heavy tractors as a major work assignment; may perform manual work tasks in connection with general construction and maintenance work; may operate graders and heavy tractors as incidental work assignment; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State to be citizens, nationals, permanent residents, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- General
Experience:
ONE (1) YEAR of work experience involving the operation of at least TWO (2) of the motorized equipment representative of the class equipment representative operator III (e.g., heavy motorized equipment such as trucks having a factory rated capacity of 5 tons or over, rollers of 5 tons or over, loaders, and tractors such as D‑4, TD‑6 and TD‑9 with bulldozer blade attachments), or any equivalent combination of training and experience. - Commercial Driver's License:
Applicants must possess a valid State of Hawaii issued Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – Class
B. A valid out‑of‑state CDL may also be accepted; if selected, you must transfer your out‑of‑state CDL to a Hawaii‑issued CDL prior to your employment start date and within 30 days of arriving in Hawaii. - Pre‑employment testing for controlled substances is required under Federal Department of Transportation regulations. If selected, the hiring agency will notify you of when and where to report for testing.
