Cost Accountant | Kalamazoo, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard product costs.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and overhead absorption.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and participate in financial forecasting.
• Support make-or-buy decisions with cost analysis.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and track their implementation.
• Reconcile inventory and ensure accurate valuation.
• Assist in budgeting processes for production and inventory.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
