Oncology Business Coordinator – Full-Time
The Oncology Business Coordinator follows direction of Director of Practice Operations – Oncology. Primary responsibilities would include organization and planning of events designated by the department director. Other duties include assisting with department programs, organizing and scheduling based on patient needs. Department director may also assign agenda preparation, data gathering, report creation and special projects to support the department goals and/or accreditation requirements.
Primary responsibilities would include organization and planning of annual cancer center events at BMH and BBC such as Prostate and Breast Screening, Annual Survivorship celebrations, and others as designated by the DPO. This individual would help organize, and schedule Expressive Arts Programs for patients, as well as help manage the Cancer Center Boutiques and Massage Therapy programs. This individual will help work on transportation arrangements for patients as needed.
Agenda preparation for certain leadership and staff meetings.
Other responsibilities would include assisting the PS&Q Coordinator as directed with data gathering, and report creation to help with accreditation requirements with the commission on Cancer, Astro, and NABPC programs as well as for various business cases. Assisting the DPO and Director of Clinical Practice with various special projects.
Bachelors degree in related study preferred or 3-5 years' experience in a similar business coordinator type role. The office coordinator will need to be able to travel between the BMH, BBC, and other locations as needed. Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required, as well as the ability to work efficiently in various applications such as Epic, Outlook, etc.
Exceptional organizational and customer service experience and skills are required. Desire to work on new tasks and ability to adapt.
Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time. The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.
