The APC Student Placement Coordinator serves as the primary liaison for Advanced Practice Clinician students, educational institutions, clinical preceptors, recruitment, and Beacon Medical Group leadership throughout the student placement process.

The APC Student Placement Coordinator serves as the primary liaison for Advanced Practice Clinician students, educational institutions, clinical preceptors, recruitment, and Beacon Medical Group leadership throughout the student placement process.

This position coordinates APC student clinical rotations from initial application through rotation completion, including placement requests, application materials, onboarding requirements, student access, communication, compliance documentation, and post-rotation evaluations.

Essential Functions Student Placement Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for APC student placement inquiries, coordinate communication among students, educational institutions, clinical preceptors, recruitment, and leadership, and manage the placement process from application through rotation completion.
  • Assist with matching students to available preceptors and clinical sites, communicate placement decisions, and follow up with students regarding placement offers and response timelines.
Application and Documentation Management
  • Receive, review, organize, and track student applications and required documentation, including missing items, application status, school affiliation, anticipated graduation date, contact information, rotation dates, and placement status.
Onboarding and Access Coordination
  • Coordinate onboarding requirements, access requests, Oracle Learning Journeys assignments, training completion, login information, and system access instructions before each student’s scheduled rotation start date.
Data Management and Reporting
  • Maintain placement tracking systems, rotation spreadsheets, and program databases to monitor future semester requests, placement outcomes, application volume, student status, preceptor assignments, program participation, and pipeline metrics.
Program Support
  • Support development and maintenance of the Beacon Medical Group APC student pipeline.
  • Coordinate post-rotation surveys and feedback collection from students and preceptors.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance the student placement experience.
  • Maintain professional relationships with academic institutions and program representatives.
  • Support recruitment initiatives related to future APC workforce development.
  • Support additional education, recruitment, administrative, or operational projects assigned to meet the department and organizational needs.
Organizational Responsibilities

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:

  • Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
  • Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established time frames.
  • Completes annual employee health requirements within established time frames.
  • Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
  • Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR), and other certifications as required by position/department.
  • Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
