Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of commercial carpentry experience.

+ 3+ years of experience in reading blueprints and construction documents.

+ 3+ years of experience managing contractors or field staff.

+ Proficiency in blueprint interpretation, construction, commercial construction, and steel stud framing.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in construction documents, carpentry, framing, commercial building, flooring, drywall, ceiling, steel stud, and construction supervision.

+ Knowledge of ground-up construction, retail, mixed-use projects, and metal framing.

+ OSHA 30 certification is highly desirable.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee all installers and field employees on assigned projects. This role involves monitoring projects from planning to completion, encompassing tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management. The Superintendent will manage multiple carpenters across various job sites and will occasionally engage in hands-on work. Adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards is crucial to ensure the safety and security of the construction site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.45 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
