Senior UI/UX Designer

Our client is hiring a Senior UI/UX Designer. This role is a 6 month contract with the potential to extend. As a Senior Designer you lead the design for a product or pod bridging the gap between user needs, business strategy, and engineering feasibility. You don't just design interfaces, you raise the bar for the entire design organization.

• Strategic Discovery: lead discovery to define problems and user needs; translate insights into clear product opportunities
• End to End Execution: design high-quality, accessible interfaces and user flows that move the needs on KPIS like activation and task success
• AI Augmented Workflow: leverage generative AI tools to accelerate ideation, automate repetitive tasks and synthesize large scale research data
• System Ownership: evolve our design system, drive adoption and governance across platforms with accessibility by default

  partner deeply with engineering and PMs to refine requirements, navigate technical constraints and ensure high quality design QA
• Leadership & Mentorship: elevate team standards through critiques and documented decision‑making, mentor mid/junior designers in craft and strategy
• Product Thinking: ability to link design decisions directly to business models and success metrics; expert level proficiency in Figma including Auto layout 6.0
• AI Literacy: proficiency in AI driven design tools
• Research Synthesis: ability to use AI tools (Co‑Pilot) to distill user interviews and feedback into actionable themes
• Universal Design: deep knowledge of WCAG 2.2 Standards and ethical patterns

• Graphic design skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience utilizing a design system component library
• Major or related field of study
• Fluent in prompt engineering
• Full stack designer
• Skilled at providing UX deliverables to agile product teams
• Ability to create solutions for interfaces and interaction design challenges
• Production design experience creating low fidelity mock ups, high fidelity visual designs and interactive prototypes
• Experience creating specs for UI/UX deliverables including UI/UX states and behaviors
• Strong interest in design and up to date design trends

Expert Level

Contract position based out of Ada, MI.

Pay range: $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
