Kalamazoo Christian High School (KCHS) is looking to hire a committed Christian teacher ready to energetically & effectively provide our high‑school students with excellent instruction taught from a Christian worldview. This long‑term substitute position will begin in early March, 2026 and conclude at the end of the current school year, May 29, 2026. Classes include Advanced Composition, Psychology, and World History.
(This position may develop into a full‑time faculty status position for the 2026‑27 school year.)
The preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong & active Christian faith with a solid knowledge content area & instruction. They will understand & be committed to the mission & vision of Christian education, specifically that of Kalamazoo Christian High School. The ability to connect the Christian faith & worldview to instruction is essential for success in this position.
Fundamental job skills & competencies include collaboration, communication (oral and written), critical thinking, dependability, interpersonal skills, organization, providing motivation & confidence, relationship/team building, stewardship, technology competency, & time management. Specific job skills & competencies include but are not limited to providing engaging classroom instruction with varying instructional strategies & carrying out professional responsibilities in & out of the classroom.
Educational Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
- Teaching Certification (Secondary)
- Teaching experience preferred.
