Scope of Responsibilities

In conjunction with the building behavior team, supervise students during lunch and recess.

Performance Responsibilities

1. Check the Activity Helper bulletin board and/or meet with the Lead Activity Helper for daily

assignment.

2. Supervise students in building designated eating locations and on the playground(all seasons

required)

3. Clean up lunch area of all trash, verifies recess equipment and personal items are not left on

the playground after recess

4. Takes groups of students to the area where they are to remain until the lunch period is over.

5. Remain with students at all times and be responsible for their safety.

6. Become familiar with the Activity Helper Binder, location, and its contents.

7. Attend scheduled meetings.

8. Interacts with children each day through pay.

9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school diploma, GED, or an accredited equivalency. .

2. Evidence of effective oral communication skills.

3. Evidence of behavior that demonstrates a positive role model for students.

4. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

5. Ability and willingness to follow guidelines.

6. Ability to play with students.

7. Evidence of desirable work record (good attendance record, exemplary job

performance, flexibility)

Desired Qualifications

1. History of working successfully with elementary students.
