Head Start​/GSRP Classroom Aide

The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) is a critical part of Michigan’s education system serving the Greater Kalamazoo region and provides specialized services to schools and communities and optimizes resources by centralizing innovative programs and services. We partner with school districts and the broader community to offer essential programs including early childhood education, special education, career learning, and educator development, ensuring that learners of all ages receive the support they need.

We are currently seeking 2
* part-time
* Head Start/GSRP Classroom Aides in Kalamazoo County. The essential responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Align services with KRESA Core Values (Collaboration, Innovation, Compassion, Respect, and Integrity) and Culture & Belonging principles to engage and serve all students
• Assist with delivery of Head Start services as defined by Head Start Performance Standards
• Assist in instruction of students as designed by the teacher
• Assist with managing student classroom activities and outside of classroom instruction to include playground monitoring
• Perform daily classroom activities including materials preparation, cleaning and organizing
• Assist with physical management of students
• Assist students with care of hygiene needs
• Regular and consistent attendance
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent

* position has standard hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday beginning in August 2026. It is a 10‑month calendar
* part‑time
* position in job grade 9 with an hourly rate of pay between $15.07 and $18.17. This position qualifies for a signing bonus up to $1,000.
