Western Michigan University invites applications for the position of Faculty Specialist II – Clinical Specialist in the WMU Bronson School of Nursing. This is a 1-year term, academic year (9-month) position.
Teaching courses in the Nursing curriculum online, hybrid and traditional formats including simulations in the laboratory setting. Supervise and instruct professional nursing students to work with clinical health problems, health and wellness promotion with individuals, groups and communities. Contribute to the missions of the School, College, and University. Service to the Department, the University, the profession, and the community. Contributing to an interdisciplinary environment of instruction, and community collaborations.
Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Medical Surgical Nursing. Current unencumbered Michigan registered nurse license from an accredited institution. Teaching experience in a baccalaureate program in clinical areas, laboratory settings, on-line and/or classroom.
Community-based, interdisciplinary, inter-institutional experience/background. Evidence of technological literacy and on-line instruction.
Faculty Credential Summary; a letter describing qualifications, accomplishments, and professional experiences related to the position; curriculum vitae, and names, titles, postal and email addresses and telephone numbers of three (3) professional references.
