Salary:
Dependent on years of teaching experience and certification. Salary scale starting at $43,905.
Will honor 100% of prior full-time teaching years. Eligible school for Teacher Loan Forgiveness. Merit pay, sick day buyback program, and tuition reimbursement per CEA contract.

Valid Michigan teaching certificate, required English Language Arts endorsement (BA or BX), required Spanish endorsement (FF, YF, etc.).
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in English and ESL required.
- Proven ability to work with at-risk middle school students.
- Experience with addressing the needs of students of all ability levels.
- Experience in differentiated instruction.
- Experience in teaching writing, grammar, and public speaking.
- Maintains meaningful positive rapport with students and parents.
- Provides standards-based, structured project-based learning that interconnects with core subjects.
- Supports students who need ESL services and ability to teach approved Spanish curriculum.
- Administers the WIDA.
- Creates and maintains effective environments for student learning.
- Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration.
- Collaborates with staff to plan, integrate, and enhance grade-level standards in the classroom.
- Pursues professional development that supports improved classroom practice.
- Develops rigorous lesson plans that are driven by student assessment.
- Uses formative assessment to analyze progress toward student goals.
- Ensures that students display knowledge of grade-level content standards.
- Champions and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Other duties as assigned by administration.
