Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain product and process quality throughout all stages of manufacturing.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Support APQP activities, including control plans, PFMEAs, PPAP submissions, and validation documentation.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, non‑conformances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to drive quality initiatives and support new product launches.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer‑specific requirements.
• Work with suppliers to resolve quality concerns, improve process capability, and ensure timely containment and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, inspection standards, and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to reduce scrap, defects, and variation.

• Associate’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 5 years of experience in quality engineering within the automotive or high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes using 8D, 5 Why, and other structured problem‑solving tools.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
