Role Summary
A Structural Engineer at OHM Advisors will apply specialized knowledge to ensure the stability, safety, and longevity of community-focused projects, translating architectural and functional concepts into buildable structures.
Responsibilities- Perform design calculations and prepare construction plans and specifications for buildings, bridges, and unique structures.
- Conduct design and analysis of structural elements such as bridge components, building framing, and foundations.
- Apply engineering principles and maintain project documentation.
- Perform occasional fieldwork, including condition inspection of existing structures.
- Prepare reports to support structural analysis and field investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with materials used in bridge and culvert projects.
- 5+ years of DOT or local public agency bridge and culvert design experience as a Structural Engineer.
- Familiarity with relevant structural engineering codes and industry standards.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and/or Micro Station software.
- Experience with Hy-8/HEC RAS a plus.
- Professional Engineering License or FE is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to grow the structural group.
