Hourly Rate: $50.00
Required Education- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of R&D or engineering experience in manufacturing, materials, product development, or testing environments.
- Hands‑on, proactive, and solution‑oriented attitude with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Experience with material characterization, testing, and performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering systems, instruments, and quality testing methods.
- Ability to analyze engineering and process‑related problems and develop effective technical solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, especially in experimentation, technical writing, and documentation.
- Ability to coordinate activities across project teams and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work both independently and in cross‑functional teams.
- Understanding of engineering standards, procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, protocols, and engineering documentation.
- Experience with material processing and manufacturing technologies preferred.
- Medical device or other regulated industry experience preferred.
- Plan, develop, execute, and automate test strategies to verify and validate hardware designs, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Support engineering activities in R&D, operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments.
- Design, develop, scale up, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, systems, and testing methodologies.
- Conduct material development and evaluation programs, including process development, material characterization, performance evaluation, and root‑cause investigations.
- Perform testing and analysis of manufactured products and materials to ensure compliance with functional, performance, reliability, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with hardware design, firmware, manufacturing, quality, and cross‑functional engineering teams from prototype development through production release.
- Coordinate with internal and external collaborators to execute project plans and technical investigations.
- Support planning, design reviews, scheduling, and cost estimation activities for engineering projects.
- Analyze equipment, system, or component failures and recommend corrective actions, process improvements, and engineering solutions.
- Develop and maintain engineering standards, procedures, technical protocols, reports, and related documentation.
- Generate technical memos, protocols, and detailed reports suitable for engineering reviews and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations within area of engineering expertise while exercising sound professional judgment.
