Learn the essential tools of a Manufacturing Engineer and apply them to projects that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance ergonomics across the plant.

Part‑time internship, onsite at the Kalamazoo facility, a few hours daily, Monday through Friday.

• Contribute as a member of the Engineering team by developing projects aligned with company goals.
• Investigate and analyze the cost and reliability of equipment and processes.
• Study performance of existing equipment or processes, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements through redesign or modification.
• Design parts using 3D CAD software and implement them in manufacturing.
• Execute validation for process changes or equipment upgrades.
• Create standard operating procedures and work instructions for process changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive projects forward.
• Calculate cost impacts and ROI for implemented projects.
• Follow up to ensure project schedules are met.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, sophomore or higher class standing preferred.
• Strong foundation in basic engineering courses.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• CAD or Solid Works experience preferred.

$22/hr
