Senior Financial Controller

A leading organization with operations in Michigan is seeking a high-caliber Senior Financial Controller to join its central financial structure. This is a critical role focused on maintaining corporate financial integrity, reporting directly to senior financial leadership.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a consistent corporate financial strategy by managing comprehensive accounting cycles, financial reporting, and tax data. We are looking for a meticulous professional who can serve as a primary liaison for financial institutions, external auditors, and tax authorities.

• Full-Cycle Financial Oversight: Lead AP and AR functions, streamlining invoicing workflows and maintaining rigorous internal controls.
• Treasury & Cash Management: Oversee daily cash flow, bank deposits, and the reconciliation of corporate expense programs.
• Strategic Reporting: Generate ad-hoc financial analysis to provide leadership with actionable insights regarding spending trends and budget variances.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all operations align with US GAAP standards and manage government compliance tasks, including tax documentation (W-9s).
• Closing Leadership: Partner with senior management to drive month-end and year-end close processes within strict corporate deadlines.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
• Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in US GAAP and experience with modern ERP/financial database software.
