PURPOSE AND

SUMMARY:

The ideal MSN FAST - First Aid Support Team (MSN Fast) (“contractor”) will perform duties associated with providing first-response medical support to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws and medical protocols. Failure to comply with policies and procedures may result in discontinuing contracting services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls calmly, efficiently, and promptly;

Administering basic life support to patients at the scene, in a pre-hospital setting in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards;

Assessing the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed;

Communicating with identified event contacts, coaches, family, administrators, professional medical personnel (911), etc.;

Maintaining order at scenes, completing patient care incident forms, evaluation forms, and all other forms in a competent and timely fashion;

Assessing the injury, stabilizing it, and determining the plan of action.

EDUCATION:

Must have a minimum of either a high school diploma or a GED as evidence of completion of a high school education, and must have and maintain current state MFR, EMT, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN, and RN license.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, and current health care provider CPR certification (refer to current state approved health care provider certified programs).

NOTE: This position may be required to submit to a background check and drug test based on the American Heart Association's Drug-Free Workplace Policy and the requirements of our clients.
