Palo Alto Network Firewall Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Palo Alto Networks Firewall Engineer to join our team in Novi, MI. This role requires expertise in network security, firewall configuration, and troubleshooting within a Palo Alto Networks environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with firewall policies, VPN configurations, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain Palo Altofirewalls to ensure network security and performance.
• Implement and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and security policies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network security issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize network security architecture.
• Perform regular security audits and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Document configurations, procedures, and security policies.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
• Experience with Panorama for centralized firewall management.
• Familiarity with routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
• Palo Alto Networks certifications (PCNSA, PCNSE) preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Work Environment:
Hybrid role with 3 days onsite per week in Novi, MI.
