Reports To: Executive Director and works collaboratively with the Office Coordinator and contracted vendors.

Part-Time / 20 hours per week
Pay Rate
: $22.00 hour
Position is responsible for maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of HRI’s main office and grounds. Duties include completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, meeting room set up, conducting inspections, responding to emergencies, and coordinating repairs. The successful candidate will possess strong problem solving skills and working knowledge building systems and general building maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Respond to and complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, doors, windows, and locks.
- Conduct daily inspections of building systems, grounds, and common areas to identify maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns.
- Maintain interior and exterior building conditions, including sidewalks, parking areas, landscaping, lawn care, litter removal, and hazard mitigation.
- Clean and maintain common areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces as needed.
- Coordinate and monitor contractors, snow removal, and landscaping services to ensure quality and timely completion of work.
- Prioritize maintenance requests and assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules in collaboration with the Office Coordinator.
- Purchase, transport, and deliver maintenance supplies, equipment, and materials as assigned.
- Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and report health and safety concerns to leadership.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or vocational training preferred.
- 2 years of maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license with personal and reliable transportation
- General maintenance knowledge; specialized licenses preferred.
- Ability to use Microsoft 365
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work.
