Managing Director – Investment Banking (Middle Market M&A)
A fast-growing, middle-market investment bank is seeking a Managing Director to lead origination and sector development within one of the Firm’s core verticals. This is a unique opportunity to join a platform in the next stage of its evolution: scaling from a successful boutique into a nationally relevant, sector-focused advisory firm with meaningful long-term enterprise value.
The firm offers a high-support, non-siloed environment with strong execution resources, a collaborative culture and a clear commitment to building deep vertical expertise. The incoming MD will have the freedom to build a franchise while benefiting from an established brand, steady deal flow, and a robust business development engine.
What You’ll Do- Lead origination efforts within a defined sector (Healthcare Services or Industrials preferred)
- Drive business development with founders, PE firms, lenders, attorneys and other COIs
- Position the firm as a go-to advisor through thought leadership, conferences, and relationship networks
- Oversee end-to-end execution of M&A and capital-raising transactions with support from an experienced internal team
- Serve as the senior advisor to founder-led and family-owned companies during critical strategic events
- Help shape firm strategy, sector positioning, and culture as the platform continues to grow
