As the Welder and Fabricator, you will assemble and fabricate stainless steel and aluminum components, following specifications, in a timely and efficient way.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:- Performs the setup and maintenance of the welding equipment and fixtures to meet product specifications.
- Performs welding activities to weld parts in a high-quality manner, verifying print specifications on each job.
- Operates the forklift and/or overhead crane to safely move materials to and from storage areas.
- Updates, records and reports on various data, including steel scrap reports, QC Sheets, production cards, and annual inventory, ensuring accurate information and product counts.
- Performs quality checks utilizing precision measuring tools and gauges on all finished products to ensure quality expectations are achieved.
- Education:
A HS Diploma or GED preferred; will consider an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. - Experience:
2+ years of welding and fabricating experience with MIG and TIG mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel. Light gage sheet metal experience is required. Structural, Shear, press brake, and iron worker experience would be a plus. - Certifications:
Ability to be forklift/crane certified. - Functional
Skills:
Strong mechanical skills; high attention to detail with an ability to read, understand, and apply procedures, specifications, blue prints and bill of material;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Basic math and counting skills are required. Critical thinking to solve issues independently or by getting assistance to ensure accuracy is important. - Technology

Pay/Salary
Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

Reports To:Plant Manager
CoreHours:
6:00 am – 4:30 pm
Typical Work Week:Monday to Thursday;
Fridays are for OT and required at this time; 40-45 hours a week on average

Work Conditions:Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise level, PPE required.
