Position: PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

The Production Coordinator role promotes excellence throughout the organization by coordinating production schedules, supporting shop floor operations, and maintaining accurate manufacturing data. This position works closely with the Director of Manufacturing to ensure production schedules, materials, and documentation support efficient manufacturing operations and on‑time customer delivery. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing.

  • Experience with MSS, Visual, or similar ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related field required.
  • Minimum three years of manufacturing, production scheduling, or manufacturing support experience (union shop experience preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Promote excellence throughout the department and plant.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Monitor production priorities, expedite orders, and communicate schedule changes.
  • Maintain Schedule 2, MSS, Visual, and related production scheduling systems.
  • Coordinate work order releases and prepare production documentation for shop floor operations.
  • Accept, review, and maintain job folders, work orders, blueprints, and production documentation.
  • Track materials throughout the manufacturing process and coordinate transfers between facilities as needed.
  • Release parts orders and work with Purchasing to resolve material shortages affecting production.
  • Communicate shortages, engineering changes, production issues, and schedule impacts to the Director of Manufacturing.
  • Support production reporting, job status updates, and ERP data accuracy.
  • Train employees on MSS and Visual processes as assigned.
  • Promote teamwork, continuous improvement, and effective communication across Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Shipping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing.
