WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
As a Plate Saw Operator at our Davis Creek facility, you will keep the saw running efficiently -- cutting, organizing, and distributing material while supporting packaging, raw material supply, truck unloading, and production. Your precision and reliability will keep orders moving on schedule.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT
- Utilize machinery for the transfer and cutting of material
- Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Measure finished parts with precision tools such as tape measures and calipers, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility
- Fill work orders or requests for material
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves
- Locate material in our inventory system
- Deliver packages to the staging area
- Retrieve material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
- Comply with mandated ISO quality procedures and assist with periodic review of related policies and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area
- Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with MIOSHA and applicable federal, state, and local guidelines
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Basic requirements:
- Prior related experience and/or training preferred, with reliable work history
- Basic math skills, including comfort with decimals and fractions
- Ability to use precision measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Forklift experience preferred; certification provided
Physical requirements:
- Stand and walk throughout the shift; frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements
- Routinely lift up to 25 lbs.; occasionally 50+ lbs.
- Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to wear all required safety equipment
- Able to work in a noisy environment; hearing protection provided
- Able to work in an environment where Lockout/Tagout is a standard safety practice

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in an industrial, or similar, setting.
• Prior forklift experience (preferred), or ability to become certified in forklift operation.
• Prior experience performing data entry using a computer.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Routinely required to stand and walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; as well as climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Routinely performs repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, lifting and pulling
• Routinely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
• Specific vision requirements include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
• Routinely work in a noisy (company-provided hearing protection is required) and non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Able to work in an environment where lock-out/tag-out is a standard safety practice.
• Routinely work in environment with gas-powered and other forklifts and machinery.
