Responsibilities/Qualifications
Parallel Management Group is looking for a Regional Specialty Program Director
. This role leads the rollout, training, and ongoing support of Parallel's specialty resident programs — spanning memory care training, end-of-life doula support, and restorative care — across the communities they support. This role partners with building and regional leadership to determine which programs are the right fit for each community and in what order they should be introduced, then works directly with onsite teams (Life Enrichment Directors, Memory Care Coordinators, Wellness Coordinators, Restorative Aides, and End-of-Life Doulas) to launch each program and keep it running well over time.
- Schedule and host ongoing training experiences for staff at all communities within the region.
- Communicate with building and regional management to identify which specialty programs are appropriate for new communities, and implement programs in order of priority.
- Provide ongoing support to the staff responsible for day-to-day program delivery, including Life Enrichment Directors, Memory Care Coordinators, Wellness Coordinators, Restorative Aides, and End-of-Life Doulas (where applicable).
- Hold individual meetings or video calls with communities on a biweekly basis once their programs are established, to check in on progress and provide continued support.
- Send communities reminders throughout the month to keep program submissions and follow-through on track, and assist communities with carrying out resident requests as needed, with hands‑on support for communities that are new to a program.
- Collect submissions from all communities each month and compile them into a newsletter distributed across the region.
- Facilitate hands‑on staff training experiences, including virtual dementia simulation training, meaningful engagement training, and challenging behavior training (some sessions require a co‑facilitator).
- Launch the program in new communities with memory care: complete resident cognitive assessments, install sensory/way‑finding displays, and assemble staff sensory boxes.
- Launch family education nights in new communities and attend the first several sessions until the community is ready to run them independently.
- Follow up regularly with onsite staff to confirm the program is being maintained, and provide hands‑on help to catch communities up as needed.
- Complete End‑of‑Life Doula training/certification in order to train community‑based doulas.
- Host doula training classes — increasingly delivered virtually via Zoom to multiple communities at once, rather than spending multiple days on‑site training just a few doulas at a time.
- Help each community identify and establish a lead doula responsible for maintaining doula assignments.
- Set up doula program binders for new communities and coach the lead doula to maintain them going forward, checking in and providing catch‑up support as needed.
- Plan periodic appreciation events for doulas and arrange ongoing education opportunities.
- Recruit and train restorative techs to launch and expand the program in additional communities.
- Monitor restorative documentation and track resident progress.
- Meet regularly with outside providers involved in the program.
- Partner across departments to ensure all components of the program are being carried out consistently.
- Collaborate with a fitness coach to elevate the program, with plans to extend fitness coach support to communities in the West region.
- Experience in senior living, memory care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
- Comfortable…
