RN Unit Supervisor (Unit Coordinator) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Location:

Bronson Methodist Hospital (BMH)

Shift: Nights with occasional variable shifts

Sign‑On Bonus:
Up to $10,000

About the Role

Join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team in a leadership role where you can make a meaningful impact on our smallest patients and their families. As a Unit Coordinator, you’ll partner closely with nursing leadership to support daily operations, guide and mentor staff, and help ensure exceptional, high‑quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day unit operations, including patient flow and staff assignments.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for NICU nursing staff.
  • Support staffing and scheduling needs, including real‑time adjustments during night shifts.
  • Partner with leadership on hiring, onboarding, and staff development.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to support team member growth and performance.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team environment and assist with conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with audits, process improvements, and implementation of new practices.
  • Act as a point of contact for staff, providers, and internal partners during night shift operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the State of Michigan.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of NICU RN experience.
  • Previous leadership experience (formal or informal).
  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Advanced nursing certification.
