RN Unit Supervisor (Unit Coordinator) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location:
Bronson Methodist Hospital (BMH)
Shift: Nights with occasional variable shifts
Sign‑On Bonus:
Up to $10,000
Join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team in a leadership role where you can make a meaningful impact on our smallest patients and their families. As a Unit Coordinator, you’ll partner closely with nursing leadership to support daily operations, guide and mentor staff, and help ensure exceptional, high‑quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate day‑to‑day unit operations, including patient flow and staff assignments.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for NICU nursing staff.
- Support staffing and scheduling needs, including real‑time adjustments during night shifts.
- Partner with leadership on hiring, onboarding, and staff development.
- Provide coaching and feedback to support team member growth and performance.
- Promote a positive, collaborative team environment and assist with conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Assist with audits, process improvements, and implementation of new practices.
- Act as a point of contact for staff, providers, and internal partners during night shift operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the State of Michigan.
- One year of NICU RN experience.
- Previous leadership experience (formal or informal).
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Advanced nursing certification.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships and support a team‑focused environment.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced setting.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions during off‑shift hours.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) and basic data tracking.
- Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus
