Clinic Registered Nurse; RN Diabetes & Endocrinology - Kalama

Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) - Full time, 40 hours per week

BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital – Diabetes & Endocrinology – Kalamazoo, MI

Working under the provider's direction, the RN provides all general nursing staff functions for the practice. Responsibilities include recording vital signs, obtaining patient history, providing clinical information and support to providers, processing patient charts, giving patient and family education, and phone triage. The RN assists in various procedures, manages patient appointments, documents findings, cooperates with the healthcare team, and participates in performance improvement activities.

Additional duties may include patient preparation, referrals, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

• Record and monitor vital signs, provide initial assessment, and obtain concise patient history.
• Process and post information to patient charts; provide education regarding medications, treatment, and care.
• Assist in patient preparation for examinations, including assessment, histories, and routine testing.
• Triage phone calls and determine urgency of appointments or necessity of in‑person visits.
• Assist provider with minor and emergency procedures and examinations.
• Schedule tests and procedures in other departments; document results and notify patients.
• Administer medications as ordered, document all data, and maintain patient records.
• Participate in performance improvement monitoring and quality data collection.
• Contribute to staff meetings, educational activities, and professional development initiatives.
• Maintain supplies, manage examination rooms, and stay current with insurance and referral policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Licensed RN in good standing with the State of Michigan.
• BLS certification required.
• 6–12 months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work independently.
• Strong computer skills; ability to interpret data from various systems.
• Capacity to handle moderate physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.

• First shift, full time, 40 hours per week.
• Sign‑On Bonus:
