Registered Nurse Manager - Development

Shift: First Shift, Monday through Friday.

• Supervise and direct resident care staff in a psychiatric facility.
• Plan, develop, and implement a preceptorship and robust nursing program for registered nurses.
• Identify and monitor staff development needs, maintain records, and prepare reports.
• Oversee corrective actions within the department and conduct performance evaluations.
• Approve time and attendance and manage departmental oversight.

• Possession of a diploma or associate’s degree in nursing.
• Two years of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11 or one year equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12 or a Registered Nurse Manager 12.
• Alternate education:
  Registered Nurse Manager 13; a master’s degree in nursing may substitute for one year of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11; a bachelor’s degree in nursing may substitute for six months of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11.
• Possession of a Michigan registered nurse license in good standing.

• Position is a Drug and Alcohol Tested (DART) role under the collective bargaining unit agreement.
• All positions are subject to a background investigation, criminal records check, fingerprinting, physical examination, and drug test.

Location:

1312 Oakland Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49008. The incumbent must physically report to this office.
