Registered Nurse ( RN; Cardiac Surgical ICU ( CSU; Bronson Methodist Hospital - Part-time

Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Surgical ICU (CSU) – Part‑time

Location: Bronson Methodist Hospital (BMH)

12‑Hour Day Shift, Part‑time. Scheduled weekly hours: 24. Eligible for 8‑hour shifts between 8:00AM – 12:00PM.

• Manage the delivery of patient care throughout the length of stay, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care provided by other health professionals and delegate tasks within the scope of nursing practice.
• Provide physical care appropriate to the patient’s acuity and complexity.
• Document and communicate patient responses, resource consumption, and anticipated needs during each tour of duty.
• Utilize clinical pathways and outcome teaching records to develop individualized plans of care and set expected outcomes.
• Implement nursing interventions, including medication administration, evidence‑based practices, patient education, and comfort and safety measures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care, re‑assess outcomes, and document results.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and use findings to modify practice.
• Maintain professional development through ongoing education and maintain competency documentation.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and serve as a patient advocate, ensuring ethical and culturally sensitive care.

• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing, State of Michigan.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, must be obtained within 8years of hire.
• BLS certification required upon completion of core orientation.
• Critical Care or ALS certification required; additional certifications may be required for specific units (e.g., Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• Current valid driver’s license and proof of insurance (for BAH).
• Must be able to read, interpret, and analyze data from computer systems to set appropriate plans of action.

Continuous mental/visual focus on a computer or monitor (40–70% of time); routine lifting of up to 50pounds; occasional handling of heavier equipment.
