Job Overview

Clinic Registered Nurse – Full Time, 40 hours per week – Bronson OB/GYN & Midwifery Specialists, Kalamazoo. Works under provider direction to deliver comprehensive nursing care, education, and support for OB/GYN patients.

Responsibilities
  • Record vital signs and conduct initial patient assessments.
  • Obtain concise patient histories and provide clinical information to providers.
  • Process and post information to patient charts, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and referrals.
  • Assist with phone triage of patients, determining urgency and appropriate disposition.
  • Support providers during exams and minor/emergency procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including histories, vitals, medication reconciliation, and routine sensory testing.
  • Document assessment findings, test results, and treatment orders accurately in the medical record.
  • Administer medications as ordered and maintain medication records.
  • Coordinate admissions, referrals, and prescriptions as directed by providers.
  • Participate in performance‑improvement monitoring and quality‑care initiatives.
  • Attend staff and educational meetings as required.
  • Stock supplies, maintain examination rooms, and support other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Licensed RN in good standing with the State of Michigan.
  • BLS certification required.
  • 6–12 months of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work independently.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to interpret data from electronic health record systems.
  • Capacity to handle moderate physical tasks (e.g., lifting up to 50 pounds).
