Position Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Bronson Methodist Hospital.

Location:

BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital.

• Provide patient‑centered care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity.
• Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Delegate appropriate tasks within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families and support safe discharge planning.
• Accurately document care, response, and outcomes.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred; must obtain within 8 years of hire).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan, in good standing.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required upon completion of orientation.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, or other emergency/critical care certifications) may be required based on unit.

• Strong critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.

• Frequent standing, walking, and patient handling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
